Projects Featuring CameraPlanet Archive Footage
The CameraPlanet Archive works closely with filmmakers, networks, and feature film producers seeking rare, often undiscovered footage and moments from September 11, 2001. Our collection—captured by more than 140 individual contributors—has been featured in a wide range of award-winning documentaries, television specials, and commemorative projects. Among the projects we've worked with are:
7 Days in September (2002)
Directed by Steven Rosenbaum. Built entirely from video submitted to CameraPlanet in the days following the attacks.
Witness 9/11
A raw, first-person account compiled from footage in the archive, co-directed by Pamela Yoder and Steven Rosenbaum.
9/11: One Day in America (2021, National Geographic)
Multi-part series marking the 20th anniversary. CameraPlanet is credited as a key archival source.
Overcome – Music Video Tribute (2001)
A moving tribute video set to Live’s Overcome, created and released by CameraPlanet. Aired on MTV, CNN, and widely circulated online.
FRONTLINE: Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero (PBS, 2002)
Explores spiritual and philosophical responses to 9/11. Includes visuals drawn from the archive.
Tales from Ground Zero (Animal Planet, ~2002)
